JOB SUMMARY:

Die Cutter/Foil Stamp Operators are responsible for the set-up, operation and will perform other duties as assigned on all complex die cutting/foil stamping machines.

JOB TASKS:

  • Read and understand work order completely. Visually inspect all work order materials and specifications and report all problems to supervisor. Check paper and die against order.
  • Efficiently setting up and performing all score/perforate, die cut, emboss, foil stamp and/or combinations of these operations.
  • When starting new order - Check all cuts for quality before continuing to cut.
  • Communicate effectively with all appropriate personnel.
  • Check floor and equipment continuously for hazards.
  • Clean and maintain press area.
  • Separate scrap.
  • Pull completed cuts from press.
  • Retrieve and put away dies.
  • Change and program PHP.
  • Set up and cut on straight knife.
  • Set up and cut with adjustable blades.
  • Accurate completion of all applicable paper for position.
  • Maintain quantity counts.
  • Run cut bands from skids and through chopper.
  • Level off double stack skids.
  • Replace skid tops and label on all skids of paper before returning to stock.
  • Monitor condition of dies and provide feedback when dies need to be sharpened.
  • Conduct random quality checks throughout job being cut.
