2005 GASC/PIA/GATF Teacher's Update
Offers Hands-On Professional Development

May 2005

The 2005 GASC/PIA/GATF Teacher's Update, scheduled for July 25 - 29, will provide twenty selected graphic communications educators with an understanding of new technologies for education, training, and retraining needs for tomorrow's work force. The program will be held at the PIA/GATF headquarters near Pittsburgh in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, and will include both classroom and laboratory sessions in PIA/GATF's newly renovated $30 million production facility.

This year's update will cover a wide range of topics, including trends in press automation, improvements in preflighting, PDF and digital workflow changes, advances in remote soft proofing, color management, stochastic screening, variable-data printing, UV and Hybrid UV inks and coatings, computer-to-plate and direct-imaging presses, and the PIA/GATF Technology Forecast.

For further information, download the brochure available at http://www.gain.net/associant_config/conference/files/TeachersBrochure.pdf, or contact Christy Semple by email at csemple@piagatf.org or toll-free by phone at (800) 910-4283 ext. 715.
